William Sammy High
William Sammy HIGH, son of Sam Theo HIGH and Bessie TURNER , was born on 22 May 1926 in Henderson County North Carolina, died on 17 Jan 1965 in Spartanburg South Carolina at age 38, and was buried in First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg, Spartanburg South Carolina. The cause of his death was Heart Attack.

* He served in the military. Served in the Navy aboard the USS
Dutchess from 1944 to 1946.
William married Pearl Eileen SIMS, daughter of Fred Carroll SIMS Sr. and Eunice Christine YOUNG, on 4 Oct 1946 in Spartanburg South Carolina. Pearl was born on 22 Jun 1926 in Whitmire South Carolina, died on 15 Apr 2006 in Asheville North Carolina at age 79, and was buried in First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg, Spartanburg South Carolina. The cause of her death was COPD. They had four children: Janet Elaine, Rhonda Lynne, Cynthia Christine, and Wilma Jean.
William had 4 siblings, Louise, Harold, Bonnie, and Donald.
